Again this year, we will be honoring the Breaking Bread tradition for Diversity Day!
Celebrating Diversity Day
The Foundation is excited to bring you a morning of community and inclusion. During Daily Dialogue on May 14th we will be welcoming the Rose Academy, a troup of Irish dancers who will be giving a special performance in traditional Irish costumes.
Following this presentation, we will be bringing back one of our favorite events of the year: Breaking Bread! A staple in most cultures, bread takes on many different forms around the world, from tortillas to naan to homemade biscuits and so much more. Breaking Bread is a way for students to come together and learn that our cultures are more alike than different.
For this event, we invite parents to represent their country of choice by providing ’samplings’ of their culture’s bread item to share with our students. We would like to have as many countries represented as possible, so please consider participating. We have over 200 students at the Lower School, and we want this to be a great experience for them.

A few details:
By signing up, you agree to bring your sampling of bread as well as help serve it to our students.
We will be asking parents to specify allergens and will have these displayed for each bread item.
When signing up, we hope you will include a link to the recipe or a recipe that is similar to your bread.
